After a successful 2020 season in the North American League, the DarkZero Esports Rainbow Six Siege team is heading to the 2021 Six Invitational.
Following their 6th place finish at the 2020 Six Invitational, the team returns with a more seasoned roster and an August Major Championship under their belts as they take on the first international competition in a year.
The team started 2020 with a roster change after their second place finish at the Tokoname Pro League Finals, adding Skys and Ecl9pse to the roster. From there, they went on to finish 6th at their first Six Invitational appearance in 2020. Since then, COVID-19 has restricted international play, but the team stormed ahead in the brand-new North American League.
After finishing 4th in their group, the team won the NA Major Qualifier tournament and went on to win the August Major in Stage 1 in a best of 5 match against TSM. In Stage 2, the team bounced back and finished first in their group, only to finish 3rd in the Major after a medical concern kept Hyper out of practice leading up to the event.
With their sights set on international success, the team has trained diligently since November to prepare for S.I. 2021.
You can catch the squad of Hyper, Mint, Hotancold, Ecl9pse, and Skys playing at the Six Invitational 2021 in Group A at Twitch.tv/rainbow6 on February 9th through the 21st.
