DarkZero Esports Signs Troy 'Canadian' Jaroslawski

DarkZero Esports welcomes Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski to the Rainbow Six Siege roster. After his retirement from the world champions Spacestation Gaming and a brief return at the Six Invitational 2021, Canadian joins DarkZero in place of coach turned player Brandon “BC” Carr. BC will return to the coach position alongside Kyle “Mint” Lander who has filled the role alone since May.

On joining the team, Canadian had this to say:

“I’m eager to start this next chapter in my career with DarkZero beginning with stage 3 of the NAL. The potential is endless with the wealth of experience and talent that this roster brings under a banner as supportive as DarkZero.”

On Canadian joining, Paul “Hyper” Kontopanagiotis has this to say:

“We picked him up because we thought he was good”

Canadian comes to the team after an impressive two SI Championships, the only North American player to ever do so on PC. His time with Spacestation Gaming was marked by their impressive upper-bracket run at SI20 that culminated in a 3-2 win over the current world champs NIP. After SI20, COVID restrictions paused international tournaments, leading to a brief retirement for Canadian before he returned to SSG to play at SI21. There, SSG was eliminated after groups, and Canadian went back into retirement. Since then, he has stated that SI21 sparked a desire to return to Siege and regain his spot at the top.

At the recent Mexico Major, DarkZero finished 1st in their group before a playoff loss to eventual champs Team oNe. Despite the disappointing finish, the overall success at the Mexico Major led the team to believe it was the perfect time to bring Canadian on-board.

Heading into Stage 3 of the North American League, Canadian will igl the team in the most important split of the year. Canadian, Hyper, njr, Panbazou, and Ecl9pse are ready for the most exciting stage yet as the team looks to lock in their SI22 spot.

Kyle ‘Mint’ Lander said “Adding Troy was a no brainer for us as he is the most decorated IGL in NA and I’ve always felt that he sees the game very similar to how we approach it at DZ. We couldn’t be more excited to have another long term piece to our puzzle and continue to grow and build towards competing for championships.”
